How can I help?

You can help by praying for the children, the builders and staff, by donating money or by sponsoring a child, or by volunteering your time or skills.

Purchase a copy of the beautiful 2011 Potters' Village calendar for just £6 including P&P by contacting Debbie Drew at otway@sky.com 

 

 

 

Help with fundraising

Could you, your school or church put on an event to raise money for Potter's Village? We have a video that can be used to help you make a presentation about the work of Potter's Village.

Other ideas include

• a clothes swap
• teenagers’ sleepover and fast
• holding a Ceilidh
• buy a brick (see below)
• run a cake, produce or jewellery stall at your church fair, etc!
• consider making Potter’s Village a beneficiary of your will.

Buy a Brick

The Buy-a-Brick pack is designed for use in schools or children’s groups.

By offering people the chance to contribute as little as £1, children can help Potter’s Village to provide disadvantaged children with a future.

The pack includes:

• A letter that schools or groups can adapt to inform parents about the project
• A response sheet for children to fill in and draw a picture of themselves (the pictures will be collated and sent to Kisoro)
• A name sheet to record donations
• A poster to advertise the project
• A Thank You certificate for schools or groups to display
• Background notes.

Volunteering

Do you have skills you could offer to help with publicity?
Could you help produce and distribute the Potter’s Village calendar?

Can you volunteer to help at Potter's Village for six or 12 months? PV urgently needs specialist skills in medical care and nursing. There are many different ways you could be used there, e.g. as a teacher, houseparent, etc.
